Index AI is a Shopify application developed and operated by BrandUp Factory GmbH. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect data when you use our app. By installing Index AI, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following data to provide our services:

Shopify Store Data — Shop domain, shop name, shop owner email, currency, billing address, and Shopify plan information.

Product Data — Product titles, descriptions, images, and metadata for AI-powered content generation (e.g., meta tags, alt texts, FAQ generation, llms.txt).

Google Analytics Data — Read-only access to analytics data when you connect your Google account, used for performance insights and AI visibility tracking.

Usage Data — App interactions and feature usage to improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the features of Index AI. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenAI — Product data is processed through OpenAI's API for AI content generation. Data is sent only when you actively use a generation feature. OpenAI does not use this data for training.

Google APIs — When you connect your Google account, we access Analytics data in read-only mode. Index AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Security

All data is stored on EU-based servers with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We conduct regular security audits and maintain strict access controls. Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel only.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate data

• Request data deletion

• Object to data processing

• Withdraw consent

7. Data Retention

When you uninstall Index AI, all stored data is automatically deleted within 30 days. This includes store data, generated content, and connected account data. For immediate deletion, contact us directly.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
